The Culinary Arts Academy's new education center gives the César Ritz campus a modern aura and measures up to the excellent reputation that the school has internationally. This iconic building is to become the new hub of the campus – both functionally and structurally. Positioned at a junction, it faces in all directions.
The topography enables access on various levels, facilitating the internal circulation of the various users. There are three different entrances: The main entrance, which can easily be seen from the campus's forecourt, welcomes visitors. The delivery entrance is on the same level as the existing loading and unloading bay. The students' entrance is situated on the uppermost level and thus connects the new building with the classroom building and the hall of residence.
The hexagonal structure is conceived as a small tower with one large main room on each floor, along with neighboring service rooms. Every floor provides the necessary flexibility and can be adapted as required. The main room can be divided into two large rooms for theoretical and practical lessons. A central supply shaft serves all rooms. There are storage rooms, cold storage rooms and service rooms on each floor, as well as a passenger elevator and goods elevator.
